Suggestion for Drill/Air Anchor/GCD skills with cooldowns

So I've been seeing a lot of people saying they are having trouble keeping track of when Air Anchor and Drill come off CD. And I was sat wondering why I don't have this problem with Gnashing Fang on GNB, but do fall into it with MCH, and I think its because of the flashing lines around Gnashing Fang when you have powder.

I think Drill and Air anchor should get the flashing "combo" line around their icon when they are off CD to draw your eyes to them better, as well as any other skill like them.

I'm having no issue at all with keeping track of cooldowns, that said having the flashing line on them would not hurt i guess.

Would say the flashing outline should only show when you are in combat, as it would fast become a pain to see all the time outside of combat.

It's pretty easy to tell when they are off cooldown, if someone can't pay attention, that is entirely on them.

I don’t know why people are having this issue unless their hotbars and rotation aren’t set up correctly. I’ve had zero issues.

I do lose track of Sonic Breaks cooldown quite a bit, embarrassingly enough.

I'll get better at remembering it's there eventually, but some flashing lines round it when it's good to go certainly wouldn't hurt.

It takes a bit to adjust but I think it's fine as it is. Once you use the job long enough, you'll know things are off CD with just a quick glance.

I play on ps4 and just created a “cool down” tracker hot bar, pending on the class it will show me which skills are on the gcd with independent cooldowns so i can track them easier. No problems since.

No idea how, its a 20s and 40s cooldown respectively, its not hard to keep track of, you do have to take care not to overheat when there are <9 seconds remaining on the timers so you don't lose uptime on them, but that comes down to practice.

I'm really enjoying the Machinist rework, not having to use flamethrower to slip into overheat is worth anything, the only real issue from what I hear is that their potencies might be much too low for a selfish dps whose only utility is a 10% damage down every 3 minutes, but that can be adjusted, as far as playstyle goes, I just reached level 80 and I'm having a great time, I think they did a great job, the "MCH will have 4 times the ping" scare was nonsense and I would say the ping issues are less than they were, since they softened the animation lock on gauss and ricochet by quite a bit.
