I mean, the battle went pretty well all things considered. It was a win for the Alliance, Alisaie wasn't taken until right after that battle. A small bright spot compared to everything that had been happening before.
I thought this was fine during the main story, especially during Holminster Switch of course.
But it's pretty silly looking in the post-game pair of dungeons. Not sure why they just used it across the board.
I am sure its either contemplating about the dungeon itself or our WoDs are simply tired. Which is understandable from that story imo.
True now that i think of it. You're right ^^
Ever eaten too much? She probably have that same feeling.
Let's chalk it up to "I'm tired of this crap".
After dealing with multiple world ending threats by allagans, dragons and primals, fighting on multiple fronts of a seriously for real war, multiple of your friends either passing or ripped from you into another dimension, being forcibly ripped into another dimension YOURSELF, and in the end absorbing the essence of your enemies causing your soul to break and slowly transform into the monsters you're fighting
... I'd be tired of it all too.
Story kinda explains it. Intro Movie says it too.
The WoL/D has seen a bunch of crap. More so than the other Warriors of Light/Darkness from previous games.
Couldnt have said it better. But we gotta move on right? Until servers shut down or we get a quest chain where we go off duty on vacation. Or an entire expansion for that XD"Let's chalk it up to "I'm tired of this crap".

It's not a new thing, but it was usually reserved for fights where it made sense. Nowadays though it seems like we do it for every dang fight, even the ones it doesn't make sense for, and the overuse kinda kills the impact of it.
Being sad because you killed a sin eater/lightwarden makes sense, considering their origins.
Beating up a haywire robot in the Twinning isn't a sad event, I should be happy for doing so and at least nod, even if I'm not full on /cheer-ing.
That, without a doubt, was my favorite end to a dungeon ever.Interestingly, there was one late ARR dungeon which handled the after-battle pose uniquely - at the end of Wanderer's Palace HM after defeating the boss, before the player's characters can do their victory poses a throng of tonberries rush in, and (offscreen - the camera is still focused on the player party) it's assumed they stab the now defeated and helpless mamol'jaa boss and tear him to pieces, resulting in a humorously horrified expression on the character's faces. Considering what the mamol'jaa were doing to the tonberries during the dungeon, one may think their rancor towards him is justly deserved.
Considering how many times playing with ancient technology has bitten Eorzea in the ass, including multiple Calamities being traced back to it, I think it more than a little justified to be tired of it.It's not a new thing, but it was usually reserved for fights where it made sense.
