    DNC Suggestions

    So I have been playing DNC for a while today and despite still being salty about it not being a healer, I will say you all did a great job with the class. I really wanted to not like it so I could conti ur to cry salty tears, but alas, I can't. Overall well done.

    I do have two suggestions for slight i.improvements.

    1. Make "Basic Step" an oGCD. Coming from someone who mained NIN in HWs, dances are very similar to mudras, except that you have to click a skill to activate it. Having that skill on the GCD really kills the overall flow. Each time I'm go to execute it, I'm stuck waiting, and it feels bad to wait 2.5 seconds to click a spell which "does" nothing, only to click more spells before clicking another to use it. I would say I could deal with "Technical Step" being a GCD skill because I'm only pressing it every 2 minutes or so. But dealing with the jarring delay of "Standard Step" every 30 seconds is.... well... jarring.

    2. "Curing Waltz" needs a change. I like the skill and the overall idea, but the potency + recast make it feel like a gimmick. Now, it might skill much better at end game, which, if that's the case then ignore this issue, but so far even when stacked it is laughably weak. I was in a group in HoH with 3 DNCs. We were all stacked and all used the skill. We recovered maybe 1/2 our health after receiving all 6 heals. I know DNC is not a healer, but the potency and timing need to be changed. Either keep the potency the same and make recast 30 sec so I can feel like I'm adding something over the course of the fight, or double the potency and keep it at 60 sec so it is like a big cool down and feels impactful. Right now it feel like a gimmick added solely for a call back to other games.

    Again, overall, great job on the class. 2 thumbs up from me SE!

    On Curing Step, I would note that just having the Dancer and dance partner stacked, that's a 400 potency heal on everyone grouped up with them, on a one minute cooldown, compared to Second Wind, which is a 500 potency self-only heal with a cd of 2 minutes.

    Curing Waltz is alright during stack mechanics to help push out that last bit of healing to top everyone up during heal-checks, but it definitely feels subpar in comparison to say RDM's VerCure for example. Though I suppose the fact it's an AoE "makes up" for it... 3 yards though... lol

    Well, and RDM's Vercure comes at a GCD loss to them. DNC doesn't lose any damage by weaving in Curing Waltz.

    I LOVE Dancer, been playing it all day, running dungeons with an FC mate doing Gunbreaker. The only thing I have a little trouble with is the aoe skills are kinda short range, and it is hard to get all the pull in them especially if the mobs are big.

    I share this concern. Especially if the mobs like to do line/cone AOEs. Sometimes I feel like I end up standing right in the middle of the mobs despite always starting out behind them just to make sure my AOEs hit them all—all because you have that one huge one that pushes other smaller mobs out of your AOE radius.

    I'd really like to see the range upped by 2-3y
    If we have to get into the thick of things for our AOE it really should be more consistent to get off

    So overall I'm liking the job. Haven't gotten far in leveling up but so far it's fun. I do have issue though. Firstly I'm not a fan of how we have to use Simple Step every 15s, with how frequent we have to use it I feel like it's potency is rather high. I understand that for about 3s you aren't attack but still 1000 burst every 15s seems extreme though satisfying. It also feels weird not having many ogcds. It makes the job feel slow at time especially when rng refuses to give you procs, I would of preferred that we'd had 2 more ogcd damage abilities that weren't tied to rng. I do however like how the job feels strong even when rng isn't in your favor and due to it's branching rotation you never feel like your fishing just to get your rotation going. Also how easy the job is and how easy performing steps it makes the job flow perfectly.
