The Diversity the Viera and Hrothgar bring to the game is wonderful :)

I have to say, seeing the new Viera and Hrothgar wandering around the areas and diversifying parties in the dungeons is really great. It just adds another layer to the game's population and I keep smiling seeing them all and checking them out up close.

I've played as a male Hyur since 2.0 and was planning to switch to Viera, however, didn't last a day before shockingly going Hrothgar and I am never looking back. He's handsome, fun and his expressions are great.

I know people were worried about lack of customization, but I've seen sooo many unique Viera/Hrothgar so far and none really look the same. The colors and hair patterns really do make a difference.

Anyway, I am just happy to see the population so much more diverse. It really enriches the experience.

Only downside, is on Faerie the Hrothgar are more of an endangered species, you will spot us out in the wild but not too often :P

The reason why I post here is that I can feel with you when you found what you love to play as, and when you take the time to express it. I feel the same with Lalafell and Red Mage, and the hype for me with the red-clad mage does simply not wear off. It sweetens up my life a bit after a stressfull day at work, or when the world decides to piss all over you - then a nice session of FFXIV can help. Especially when your Alter Ego is now exactly as you wish. And I feel you might be in the same spot now

I thank you for expressing and enjoying the awesomeness this game has to offer. You do the artists a favor by enjoying and appreciating the design and not just consume this game as a throw-away thing!

Aww, what a kind post. I love seeing me some Lalas! I am sure from your height so close to the ground us larger races all look like massive giants to you I would happily pick you up for a closer look!

Such a cute Hrothgar! We need more hunky Hrothgars on ALL servers to even out the bunny takeover at the moment!

Thank you He took quite a few fantasias of tweaking and my own indecisiveness, but I really love him. And I just think it is so important to celebrate the diverse community we have! I am loving how colorful and different it is becoming.

I thought I would be annoyed at the bunny boom. But to be honest, it made me happy for a weird reason...

You see, I play an elezen woman (a short one at that). And most female player characters are the small miqos and au'ras of the world. The only other race taller than me are roes, but I've literally seen more unicorns than roe women. But since viera came out, the height average for eorezan women has shot up!

No longer do I stick out of the crowds, seeming more ganky and awkward at times. I'm average height, slightly below average sometimes. It really put my character in a new light, and made me love her even more. As weird as it sounds, having taller women around her makes her look cuter. ♡

I agree! I love seeing so much representation of the new races in the msq and in towns. Even with so many running around, I like seeing each and every one of them. All of the creations so far have been so unique and wonderful.
