"The Light of Inspiration" question for Devs

Hoping a dev sees this. The level 79 MSQ quest "The Light of Inspiration" requires you to have completed the role quest line for the job you are on in order to complete the MSQ quest, which is level 80. (We were warned this was coming, so I knew I'd hit it eventually, however....) In order to receive the 800K+ reward, you must have completed a level 80 quest. Obviously, if you're level 80, you can't receive the 800K+ reward.

The only way I can see to actually receive this reward would be if you leveled one job of a class to 80, did the role quest line, then leveled another of the same class (say, for instance, WHM and then SCH), then the level 79 quest would recognize you had done the quest line of the job you are on and give you the reward. Otherwise, you're simply eating 800K exp. So you would need to hit pause on the MSQ to level another job to 79.

You could say, well, it's just 800K. No biggie. Which I get, when the FATEs in the area are giving 300K, however...

Since I've heard this is the last level 79 quest before 80, and it has a prerequisite to complete a level 80 quest, why is this not just a level 80 quest to begin with? Just make it level 80, and give a warning at the beginning that to complete it you must have first completed your role quest line. This will save people a lot of head scratching, and possibly not cause players to pause near the end of the MSQ just to level up another job so they don't lose the exp. Some people might very well do that. I can't imagine that was the intent with this.

Yeah, it was kind of annoying that I couldn't turn it in even though I had it completed and was still the requisite level. Having it so that you absolutely can't complete it at level makes it a huge waste of exp, they should probably change the required level to 80.

lvl 79 area and fates only give 300k exp? is there something wrong with the exp rewards, because lvl 70 area fates also give 300k+ exp o.o

Yeah, I don't get it either. I mean why make us have to become 80 for a lv 79 msq quest? I didn't even notice the xp.

It is the last lv 79 msq quest if i remember correctly. Though if you want the armero mount you'll have to do all of the role quests. Still it's a bit of a wait what kind of moment. Many aren't going to stop their msq progression just to get another job to 80 just so they don't miss out on the xp they give. Like everyone knew that we'd have the roadblock that is finishing the role quest, but I don't think anyone would have guessed it'd be how it is.

You do have to -complete- one role quest. Complete meaning do every step of it, the last of which is 80.

That its tied to the second to last level 79 msq quest makes little to no sense.

Yeah seems a bit silly. Easy fix would be to make it a L80 quest, because it essentially is. Maybe they thought the cut between the 79/80 quests would be kinda abrupt if they did it at the start of that one or something? Since it'd kinda be in the middle of a quest "line"? Only explanation I can think of.

SERIOUSLY ANNOYING! I'm at least 15,000,000 XP away from lvl80 and it's telling me that I need to complete a locked 80 quest when this is CLEARLY a 79 MSQ. Just change Light of Inspiration to an 80 please and stop ticking us off.
