it's the opposite the only way to increase the ruin dmg was to make them scale from dots. they didn't give a third dot in ruination for nothingExcuse me but the only way for SMN to keep the DoTs was forcing Ruin's damage to scale with them being on the enemy, thus increasing the ramp up time to deal damage by a lot and making it difficult to target switch.
At low level instances, you barely get to cast Ruin twice because wasting time applying two dots which hit for nothing so Ruin stops hitting for nothing.
It's a mess.
