Dancer Question for the Dev's (and anyone else who happens by :) )

Why is it.. that we get "Simple Step" at lvl 15. But the ability to have a dance 'partner', is not till lvl 60?

Was it simply not thought about dancers being in pre-level 60 dungeons? Or was it thought that allowing the dancer 'buff' to be on 2 people in those lower dungeons to be over-powered?

what would you remove pre60 to add the dance partner?

Beside Curing Waltz and Samba, I'm not sure I would like to swap any of the previous skill for the partner buff. It has a very minor impact in prio to ShB content (especially ARR and HW), I rather have all the core tool available rather than a weak buff to a party member.

One great thing about new job is that they're very good at any level whereras some job suffered many expansion being only good at a certain level.
Great example would be MNK and NIN having very lackluster AOE until higher level.

Also, 50 60 70 and 80 are usually reserved for "big cool skill"
So you wouldn't be able to put anything. It has to be a strong and important skill

And tbh, beside... maybe, Shield Samba, nothing seems to make the cut by lv 60

I guess that's mostly why.
They focused on giving you most of your gcd-skill so you could train your rotation properly.

I guess they could have put it at lv 50 instead of En-Avant tho!

Not really sure. As i said.. was more curious than anything

Just feels odd that you get Standard Step at 15, but dont get dance partner till lvl 60, and dont get the 2nd 'Technical Step' till 70.

Just feels like large gaps in the different job mechanics.

I think it would have been nice to receive it around level 50, since that’s the first “level cap” present in terms of jobs. You would trade En Avant for it, but probably not a huge deal. However, it’s not really necessary at lower levels because DNC is already stupidly strong at the lower levels. Just like how RDM and SAM were at release.

DNC has enough dps to be a selfish dps while below 60.
