Dancer 45 second pull timer

With all other pull timers removed from the game it's weird that they would leave this in.

Use standard step. Two steps then finishing step for the 5%buff.

Wait 30 seconds for standard step to come off of cool down, Use standard step, two dance steps, wait 15 seconds then pull and start battle using finishing step (with 5%boost)

Standard steps cooldown begins when you use it. Not when you use finishing step, so you only have to wait 15 seconds into combat to use standard step again, which allows it to align with raid buffs.

With the removal of all other pull timers, and prepull rotations, why does this one still exist?

You don’t need to do a 45 second pull timer for DNC. You only need a 15~20 timer.

-15 seconds: Standard Step > Step > Step
-2 seconds: potion/infusion (if applicable)
0 seconds (pull): Standard Finish on the boss and to apply the buff to yourself and your partner.

There’s no point in using Standard Step twice to pre-apply a buff that will apply immediately on pull anyways. And, as far as I know, NIN will still want to prep Huton pre-pull anyways at around ~10 seconds pre-pull. Healers may also still do stuff such as Adlo/Regens on the MT. So not all pre-pull stuff is gone.

They're talking about getting the buff to apply to the actual potency of Standard Finish (hence the cast, wait for CD, then cast again on pull). But as I said, it maths out to 50 potency extra which outside of turbo niche/hardcore groups doesn't seem worth the wait time.
