    - Recast time reduced from 120 to 60 seconds.
    - Effect duration reduced from 30 to 20 seconds.
    - Blocks all physical attacks from the front.
    - Healing over time effect granted by Cure and Cura now stacks with the white magic spell Regen.
    * Healing efficacy reduced in exchange for longer effect duration.

    So divine veil protects a paladin from all physical from the front for 20 seconds with a 60 second cool down. So one third of the time, a paladin is unable to tank physical damage from the monster he is tanking. That is one hell of an ability. Throw in rampart and sentinel in them minx, that is one hell of a physical damage reduction for paladins.

    EDIT: This does depend on what SE meant by block. Shield block or block as in prevents... The joys on language.

    It's not quite what you are thinking, it's not aegis boon blocks full damage blocks, it's like simply reduced damage blocks like when you block a normal attack from a normal monster.

    Exactly what I was trying to say. I think people are looking too far into it. Why would they give us 100% damage reduction with a shorter cooldown than invincibility? They'd do the exact same thing in that scenario. Both would block 100% of physical damage.

    It's just guaranteeing blocks, not 100% damage reducing blocks.

    Why didn't they just combine outmanuever and divine veil.......I mean really what the fuck. One gives 100% block rate and the other increases it by a worthless amount, now you have to use two abilities back to back for more animation lock.

    33% block rate offers some of the mitigation i was hoping for when pld was first announced and it gives merit to the pld > gld which i hope more players than just I will pick up on. Pld was promised dmg mitigation, now we can have some! This is good news guys! The increased enmity might be helpful on single target, boss-type mobs too, allowing people to go a bit more "all-out", even though i hate that phrase, with their DD.

    I don't see Pld outshining warrior for piles of mobs still, but if Pld can function well against the big stuff I'm totally calling this a win.

    I just don't get it...Cover...fuck that anyway...if you're tanking you're never supposed to use it anyway, cause if you have to, you suck...

    Divine Veil...so do I get that right...for the duration of the 20sec the skill is active you automatically block all physical attacks from the front? That's prolly the best change, but still...why the hell is blocking in general not "fixed", instead of giving us an ability that just "ignores" the lvl difference formulas...

    Spirits Within...cooldown set to 60 seconds. Thank you SE, so we get one Enmity Combo extra with a CD of 60 seconds, given we BLOCKED beforehand! And we all know how well blocking works in the game...

    One more thing...why the hell is our Spririts Within CD set to 60 seconds, when Steel Cyclone is at 30 PLUS it heals a shitton of HP if your crit...

    So we basically get an Enmity Combo that can only be used every 60 seconds, which is double the time of WARs enmity combo only given specific circumstances(blocking), which happens so often on high lvl mobs...AND all it does deal dmg based on your current HP(100%HP=max dmg), while WAR deals the same, if not more DMG and heals himself on crits.

    Good job on fixing PLD!

    SE is just not able to see the basic problem here, do they?

    FIX BLOCKING AND DMG MITIGATION ON PLD!!!!!! CAUSE THAT'S THE ONLY THING THAT IS SUPPOSED TO GIVE US AN ADVANTAGE OVER WAR TANK AND IT DOESN'T EXIST AT ALL RIGHT NOW!

    I'd have to try the Divine Veil blocking, but honestly...40sec of every minute of the fight I won't block...that is 2/3 times I WON'T BLOCK AT ALL.

    Unless Divine Veil blocking is like "God Mode", there is nothing that would make me go back to PLD tanking right now, although it's my prefered class, but if I can't do my job properly, I won't play it, simple as that.

    Actually cover would be amazing for fights like the ant princess. Cover a blm or whm, and we can use it every minute. That'll be amazing for AoE pulls too.

    I do agree they need to fix blocking and defense, but these changes are definitely pretty huge.

    I was hoping they would increase the range on the AoE regen on divine veil but oh well.

    Well, we wanted higher block rate... paladins now have a 100% block rate 33% of the time. Not count aegis boon and outmaneuver.
