This is bull. FFXI has a hate cap and as soon as that is reached (and it is reached VERY quickly), then PLD will no longer be able to sustain hate. The mob will turn to face whoever attacked it last. NIN has the exact same issue.

I do know some XI servers NIN tanks were taboo or something, so that guy might have been on one of those. Siren was one of them... always thought it was odd personally since NIN/DRK was so good.

But yeah, I always loved taking hate on something like Tiamat for casting Phalanx II enough times.

i wasnt complaining about hate so much just refering compared to ff 11. My issue is survivability war vs pal.
This is my issue with WAR vs PLD as well. I can hold hate fine, though I don't think I've had a chance to team up with anyone going all out on a DD so this is what we could be experiencing.

Either way, though. The first thing I'd like to see fixed would be the ridiculousness of WAR being able to keep itself alive better than PLD. A little (magic) damage reduction to make up for that HP loss and I'd be happy.
