Stop your crying33% block rate offers some of the mitigation i was hoping for when pld was first announced and it gives merit to the pld > gld which i hope more players than just I will pick up on. Pld was promised dmg mitigation, now we can have some! This is good news guys! The increased enmity might be helpful on single target, boss-type mobs too, allowing people to go a bit more "all-out", even though i hate that phrase, with their DD.
I don't see Pld outshining warrior for piles of mobs still, but if Pld can function well against the big stuff I'm totally calling this a win.
Not to mention, cover and divine veil are on the same cool down. If the paladin is not tank, throw cover on tank with divine veil. Tank takes no damage, all attacks are blocked, you can spirits within, and one cure gives everyone a regen. Sounds awesome to me.

Actually cover would be amazing for fights like the ant princess. Cover a blm or whm, and we can use it every minute. That'll be amazing for AoE pulls too.I just don't get it...Cover...fuck that anyway...if you're tanking you're never supposed to use it anyway, cause if you have to, you suck...
Divine Veil...so do I get that right...for the duration of the 20sec the skill is active you automatically block all physical attacks from the front? That's prolly the best change, but still...why the hell is blocking in general not "fixed", instead of giving us an ability that just "ignores" the lvl difference formulas...
Spirits Within...cooldown set to 60 seconds. Thank you SE, so we get one Enmity Combo extra with a CD of 60 seconds, given we BLOCKED beforehand! And we all know how well blocking works in the game...
One more thing...why the hell is our Spririts Within CD set to 60 seconds, when Steel Cyclone is at 30 PLUS it heals a shitton of HP if your crit...
So we basically get an Enmity Combo that can only be used every 60 seconds, which is double the time of WARs enmity combo only given specific circumstances(blocking), which happens so often on high lvl mobs...AND all it does deal dmg based on your current HP(100%HP=max dmg), while WAR deals the same, if not more DMG and heals himself on crits.

SE is just not able to see the basic problem here, do they?

I do agree they need to fix blocking and defense, but these changes are definitely pretty huge.
I was hoping they would increase the range on the AoE regen on divine veil but oh well.
Outmaneuver alone is worthless, never block with it on and now you have to chain both abilites to make use of the mp regen from it. Why did they simply not combine both abilities into one instead of making you press two buttons for more animation lock?
true, they didn't address the MP management issue.
They did kind of... outmaneuver + divine veil. You'll block every time getting some mana back. With the hight block rate comes less damage, so you will have to spam less heals. You are not going to get the returns from sanguine rite, but still better than nothing.

PS: Little hint...if PLD is not the main tank in the fight, there is no reason he should be there.
PPS: In order for the AoE Regen of Divine Veil to be useful, it should be granted on the person casting the Cure on him and the people surrounding THAT person, cause if you're close enough to the PLD to get hit by it, you're doing something wrong...
It's so simple to fix the shit, but Se is just not able to see it...I just don't get why...
PPPS: Forgot to mention...who the fuck wants a Cover on BLM before he AoEs, when WAR can just Collusion, which will actually take the BLMs hate of his AoE to you, instead of just taking hits for him until Cover is down and the BLM gets hit after...

I look at that list of changes and the first thing that comes to mind is SE saying, "what are the simplest adjustments we can make that require the least amount of testing and we can realistically implement in a week." I have to believe that SE will be making further adjustments in 1.22 because these changes look more like trying to reattach a severed limb with a band aid than they do an actual fix. I like the lower cooldown on Spirits Within and the changes to Divine Veil, but this is hardly a fix. Still can't understand why Steel Cyclone gets a 30 Sec cooldown while Spirits Within is still stuck at a minute.
