To be fair, Garnet had her horn removed. And Eiko has a horn. Never saw the relic set for the SMN though.

They actually referenced to building Yuna's statue with a horn as well. I think horns should be added. However, green is a bit silly.

Very astute comment He's been applying to game studios all across North America ever since he got is Bachelor's in Fine Arts recently. Designing characters and environments is his passion.

nice design and all, I hate to be that guy but please don't pressure the dev team to do stuff like this or even toy with the idea. people just get all hurt when their ideas can't be used, and if they use yours then all of a sudden that sets a precedent for 9999 different people submitting their own stuff.

Oh, we're not pressuring the dev team to use this design, I just wanted to put my boyfriend's work out there and see people's thoughts about it. Plus, he ended up more motivated to work on this design for his own personal interest thanks to people's comments and feedback on this thread

We totally understand that the design team has their own plans and their own (extremely talented and wonderful) artists, and we're not expecting them to do anything with this design. I know my boyfriend would be very honored if the Square Enix artists even just took a look at his work, but he's a realist and he doesn't expect anything from any of them.

as summoner af design? no thanks. that looks way too miscellaneous. looks like something you'd wear on a date. and no horn. we totally need the horn.

Thanks for your thoughts FFXIV's armor and clothing design isn't really that outlandish, though. It keeps a bit of realism and while the job AF armor goes for some fantastic colors and shapes, it's still more realistic than armor in other Final Fantasy games. His SMN design was inspired by that aspect of FFXIV's armor.

Anyway, he's been working on a painting with the SMN in his spare time. It's not really close to being finished yet, but:

I might be a bit biased, but I really like the "summoner's stone" crystal/jewel near the waist of the armor. I think it gives the design a unique quality that separates it as SMN armor :3
