I actually like the redesign.
Also I'm creeped out by the girlfriend playing a bald buff man.

Except I'm a guy lol.
Also, about the armor being more intricate, it's cool that people should mention that, because his idea for the back of the SMN armor has a lot of interesting details. He's only put the ideas in his head into a quick sketch so far:
The back of the "hood"-like top part is patterned lace, which could be given a lot of detail to look beautiful in FFXIV's engine![]()

I really LOVE the artwork. But I'm not too big of a fan of the design. It looks great, but honestly, When there are sets as intricate and epic as Black Mage, Warrior, Dragoon? This AF armor would be very simple and bland looking.
Like I said, great artwork! But I feel like AF needs a little bit more spice.
I'd actually like us to have a more extravagant appearing summoner in this game, especially in light of using less powerful summons. I know there is a trend with summoner to make them look homely, but I would like to see this change for this game. I'd also like them to be heavier black magic users.
I do like the incorporation of gems that could be representative of magicite in the armor.

(POST CONTAINS POTENTIAL SPOILERS)
Given the current lore, I do believe we will (one day) have access to the primals, especially considering that (SPOILER) Ifrit mentions that he feels another god's influence over you when you confront him during the main storyline. This would explain why you have the power of the echo and can speak with him directly while others cannot. This is possibly also why he spares you. I assumed he was referring to your guardian (for me, Oschon), which would be nice because they have yet to 'really' incorporate that into the game... but I could not be sure. We'll have to see... but, I'm thinking our 'summons' will not simply be entirely on a small-scale level... They might make the primals timed 'job' abilities (like the 5 you receive with other jobs) while the actual class will have elementals and other buffs. Hmm... I'm getting off-topic.
As far as the complexity of the design... if it is used, I'm sure SE will 'spice it up' to give it that extra 'wow' flare that AF has. Then again, they may keep the design and only add SMALL details, such as stitching or raised areas. As an example, if you look VERY closely at WHM AF, you can see indents and raised pieces of fabric that make it even more ornate than it at first appears to be.

I do like the back... a lot.
That's amazing I would love for him to sketch my character after 2.0 and willing to pay. Great work very talented.
O.o I LOVE IT... Gimmie this AF Gear for SMN PLZ S.E D:

This is pretty good. I like the art style too. Good job on these.
