    It is exactly that we more so than most Jobs (Healers excluded) lost the Skill Bloat game.

    Alot of things were taken and what we were given was a super simplified and rather uninteresting. FoF buff and FoW GL4 were just linear progression they were not true buffs, it was something that should happen when moving to lvl 80.

    Losing RoW leaves even our Charged Shoulder Tackles feeling meh. Losing pretty much all of our oGCDs and our Crit manipulation buff was just a giant smack in the face.

    In my opinion we lost the fantastic feeling we FINALLY got in SB which is Build Gauge Spend Gauge. The exact thing they spoke about with MCH people like to build gauge then spend it, its satisfying.

    Spending gauge now then we get to what? Sit there and Look menacingly at the boss for 12 seconds? (Obviously an exaggeration) But realistically now with PB CD at most we would spend our gauge every 2 minutes which is staggered from our buff windows.

    We need oGCD GL builders. I advocate for RoW to be a flat CD buff that empowers our next Shoulder Charge to grant 1 stack of GL 60 or 90s CD and TK using a flat 3 stacks of GL.

    Oh also Anatman to give the first stack instantly....

    This gives us flexibility and would give us FULL access to our entire kit instead of the shell we use now.

    That's just it. GL4 ISN'T progression. They removed a LOT of Sks from Mnk equipment on everything 70+ resulting in a net gain of 0 when using GL4. What this is also means is a straight nerf. GL4 is exactly that. A fourth stack of GL. Which takes a fourth finisher to get to. Which is +6 seconds from start to getting to max stacks. We lost Internal release, our tool to help recover Chakra fast.

    What did Mnk REALLY gain this update?

    • Enhanced Fists of Fire - +5% damage when using FoF is nice by quickly invalidated by needing FoW for GL4 4 levels later.

    • Enlightenment - A skill that is essentially a HF replacement only now tied to Chakra.

    • Greased Lightning 4 - Invalidated by loss of Sks and FoW requirement negating damage gain.

    • Deep Meditation II - Invalidated by loss of IR.

    • Anatman - A nice skill for when bosses use Ultimates but only at 78+ content and at the cost of Wind Tackle

    • Six Sided Star - A clunky WS that doubles GCD of all gcd skills but does reset GL timer. Nice if you know the enemy is running away but otherwise sees little use.

    It's hard to see Mnk as anything but nerfed. I physically can not comprehend how the team played this, tested this, balanced this and said "This feels good."

    I mean it really feels like they spent so much time getting the numbers "right" they did not care the stripped it bare of anything fun. They have gone on record saying they did not like the TK combo it was unintended, its almost like they did not like innovation done by players so they removed any possibility of innovation from the players in the name of "Balance"

    I would rather have an undertuned job that feels rewarding to play than this effective garbage can we have.

    Agreed. Everything they did doesn't feel thought through at all. They don't want the TK combo? Fine fix it, not break it. If you want TK to eat stacks it needs to be worth of such a harsh requirement. Make TK have 700+ potency, and a 30-60 second timer, making it not plausible to combo with PB, but still worthy of an attack that forces you to drop ALL your damage and spend 10-12 seconds just to get back up to match other DPS. That's just off the top of my head, I'm hopeful those whose job this is could do better if they just stop and think about the abilities. What they cost. What investment there is.

    Why do we need to lose our low cool down on PB and lose riddle of wind which was perfectly fine. And replace it with Anatman, and SSS. To kill tornado kick rotation is my guess. Which they could just done by tying tornado kick to riddle of fire. Make tornado kick only available during RoF, and when it’s used it ends riddle of fire. If you just HAD to remove TK rotation. That woulda been better than this awkward mess

    I would have liked something new myself in the rotation, it's jarring going back to the standard old stuff but the job itself still feels great and what we did get is very helpful.

    By the way op, the reason our 730 burst seems low to other jobs (it isn't BTW) is most jobs aren't rolling with a permanent 50% increase to their damage. That's why monk potencies look low.

    Sss is a great skill, it gives us a gl refresh and high damage attack for any time we have to move away from the boss. I find myself using it a lot.

    That's just it though. As much as I love GL and the speed of Mnk, it's a crutch. Our potency is low. Yes we get a 40% damage increase vs other jobs when maxed, which is insane, but it still takes 10 seconds to get there and any time NOT in GL3,FoF / GL4 we're a job with low potency skills.

    Here's any idea. Perfect Balance. The name is Balance. So make it balance.

    Perfect Balance - Upon use balances your body and mind. Maxes Chakra Stacks and Greased Lightning and maximizes timer of all current buffs.

    Keep it 120 second recast and make it something you can combo with instead of us making unintended combos you "fix" later and break the class. You can use it as a fight opener, or combo with TK before a boss moves away.
