Instead of teleporting I want a mount that moves at light speed.

Hah, this would be funny and awesome. Even funnier if they made it so you could never get it back, since the forum protesters think that everyone should be hindered by their unpleasant ideas till game over. The irony being that little to none of the people that complain about anima would ever actually get rid of it when they are given the choice that they wish to force on the FF14 development team.

winner winner chicken dinner! someone gets it. Your reading comprehension skills are appreciated.Hah, this would be funny and awesome. I know there were a few others that got it too, you also can have a chicken dinner.

I was one of the people who was against buying from the search window in the wards, and I don't use the feature even though it exists. I know that sounds totally off topic but here is my point.I would love for SE to make an anima removal npc that would remove all anima permanently (optional for people who dont want anima anymore). Just visit the npc and he will remove it for you. That way people who don't want anima can stop trying to change the game for everyone that likes anima. We would all be able to coexist in a world with no more "remove teleporting threads".
The search/buy people can totally co-exist with the search/nobuy people. They just annoy each other at linkshell socials.
The people with no anima couldn't co-exist with the people with anima. They would end up totally leeching off the people with anima. The game was designed with the idea that you make a group and fast travel to the event you are doing. It was never the intention of the devs that people would take 60 minutes to travel from Ul'dah to Camp Dragonhead to get a 30 second cs. So if some players removed their anima permanently other players would either have to port them everywhere with no hope that the no-anima people could ever return the favor, or they would wait while those individuals rode all the way across 5 maze-like zones to get to an ls event.
Endgame Linkshells would add 'did you remove your anima?' to their recruitment questionnaire and reject anyone who had.
I understand why you are suggesting this, and I appreciate that you are looking for a compromise. A compromise just isn't necessary. The people who don't like the idea of teleporting are missing a pretty basic concept in the game design. The game was designed around the idea of camps as quest hubs. Grouping and moving to event locations is supposed to be quick and easy not painful and time consuming. Its the same when people say 'you can teleport every 10 feet in XIV.' You can't, but they aren't getting the concept and are trying to cram the game into a mold it doesn't fit.
The idea is you play hard and overcome agro puzzles to get to the camp the first time, and some of the sub-camps like snakemolt and lasthold are impossible to solo if you don't know how agro works in XIV. Once you have the camp or sub-camp you can port there for events. XIV makes you do once what XI made you do over and over again to everyone frustration. It was a good idea not a bad one. Think of what Ifrit hard mode runs would be like if you had to run back and forth to grid between every win. Enough said?
