Leveling in and of itself is easy, yes. Actually unlocking content, notably endgame content, is a fair slog especially if you DGAF about story. Right now my alt is 52 and still only at the start of 2.4. That's...honestly pretty tedious, even coming from someone who MADE said alt to replay the story again.

It's no secret that people in FF14 can get upset very easily over trivial things, where as other communities simply shrug those same things off and laugh about them.

Oh I'm aware, I love salt of the forums, it gets me through the day.

Some people though, are just downright rude. There's being sensitive, and then there's being a troll. Trolls generally aren't that much fun.

I played lineage 2 for years, I know all about grinds. I just prefer the way xiv structures them these days.

I disagree with that personally.

I hate how XIV structures grinding, I would very much prefer an open world and simply let me go on a killing spree, I would rather have that sort of grinding rather than go through 3.000.000.000 lines of text.

Dungeons are nice when they happen, and I enjoy them, ditto for raids. However, the process of getting there from level 1 to level 80, it can be rather tedious, and I get why people criticize it and find leveling just slow and uninteresting.

Fortunately there exist other games for people to try and find one that suits them. I don't play wow, or go there and complaint that their game needs to change to fit my wants. Similarly, I dont go to BDO or ESO and ask there either.

360 days..... thats were i stopped the video.... i have 1200 days subscribed and enjoyed the game alot. He plays alot of mmo's so its easy for him to compare to others.

That video’s comments and Like/Dislike bar basically sums up this community’s large amount of degeneracy. They are so focused on baby mechanics (also known as “Quality of life” according to them) that it has basically nerfed the game’s overall difficulty when it comes to end game. They will come after you if your opinion is even slightly offensive to them.

Oh no. People disagree with his opinion and they put a dislike on his video and leave a comment on it giving criticism. How dare they be such degenerates.

I don't agree with how some went about it, but the video is obviously full of bias, false information and incorrect statements.

The problem with reviewers like LazyPeon is he never really understood FFXIV.

FFXIV is not a competitive grinding PVP game like Black Desert Online.

FFXIV is a Casual Roleplaying game with a side of Raids. Endgame in FFXIV is what you make out of it. For some its Savage and Extreme, others its getting maxed out gil, some just like to hang around in Uldah/Eulmore or collect Fashionable gear. It's made for ppl who play 1-2 hours a day and take occasional breaks.

It's an MMO which is completely the opposite of what he likes. Of course he's not going to like it. But why would he release it 1 day after Shadowbringers EA with no Shadowbringers gameplay included, completely insulting the FFXIV Devs calling them "Clueless... Do they even play their own game"... is it because he's a MMO reviewer? One can only assume and speculate.

the video of the guys simply show it wasn't his type of mmo, what i can understand.... but i will blunt on the first remark he did give.... if you expect the leveling part of the mmo to be the most important, you do something wrong. we had an old saying in old mmorpg... the game start at max level. leveling is not the part of the game you will spend most of your time. and that something that need to be said.

let's be honest ff14 gameplay is not for everyone.... then i'm not against people saying they don't like the gameplay, but trash talk shadowbringer because of this? it's more a clickbait more than a true review

oh and 499k sub is far to be popular nowaday... :x
