He used a story boost and a level boost for Ninja because he said the class was boring to play. He said that he thinks SE created boring storylines to force players to buy the boosts and skip them.

A person that skip the story talking about it to get the attention is dump but welcome to the internet.

bullshit, major reviewer giving a game a bad score and yet nothing happened to them, why? because they give valid reason why they dont like it, an ample explanation, a detail, tidbit why its not to their liking. look at angryjoe, when he dont like the game he really really hate it acting or not its really a hate video and nothing happen to him at all.

this guy post a lot of review which he hate and nothing ever happen to him, THEN suddenly a single video about FF14 turn out to be a negative because how 'strong" the game fans is and now he turn to play victim, yeah right nice try.

Considering there are people IN THIS THREAD advocating for the removal of his video from YouTube, and the fact that people get death threats over the most inane things, I believe he actually did get a death threat. But I would say it's worth worrying about as much as all the others that happen, which is to say pretty much not worth even reading.

People online are far too eager to act tough and think throwing out threats will somehow get a positive result. They usually grow up and realize that isn't how the world works. Those that don't grow up get blue checkmarks on Twitter.

I watched the video Tuesday night. I see more false accusations and exaggeration in this thread about one video than I do in most real "news" stories from the Mainstream Media. Some of the claims in this thread show that people aren't actually listening to what he says and/or are selectively hearing what he says. He gives legit reasons for what he says. I don't agree with some of those things (one example being SE intentionally designing content in order to sell skip potions), but I understand where he gets that impression; additionally, the way he words it is not an accusation, it's a statement about how the design comes across. He wasn't bashing FFXIV or SE. To put it simply, and I'm sure some will take offense to this (when the shoe fits and all), but only a blind fanboi would consider his video to be bashing the game or the devs. All you have to do is listen to what he's saying to realize he's not. Being critical is not inherently bashing, nor is it disrespect. He's been far harsher on other titles.

There's an embarrassing lack of critical thinking going on in this thread. There's also an embarrassing abundance of dog piling.

I encourage anyone who thinks he's being unfair to watch some of his other reviews. He's actually quite gentle with his review on FFXIV's leveling system. Or, as I expect will be the case, you can attack me and call me a fanboy. After all, why challenge the narrative when you can just bury your head in the sand?

^peon actually a decent person like years ago when he still dedicated as reviewer. his video still more or less the same as now no basis, analysis or stuff like that but he still playing it "fair" by giving some positive aspect from it, and instead of outright saying hate, he went the usual "not my liking" or "not for most people" yadayada, basically play it "nice guy"

then everything went south when he start going full BDO, ever since then all his vid is always get compare to BDO in some way. i also heard rumor he broke up with his GF and not in a good way too but that one is rumor so iam not sure.

I think game journalist are problem with the video game industry they keep tried push a goal not let video game go as game industry goes. what I have gather it was the game journalists the cause gamegate. it do game industry a great service to basic say no to them and stand up to them they more a pack of bully tried push political into video games

Most of the issue about his video is the timing of it's release. It was released 1 day after the Shadowbringers Early Access and his video included nothing about Shadowbringers. If you actually watched his review, you can compare it to his Bless Online Review. Completely trashing the game and calling the Devs clueless and "do they even play their own game?".

There are some ppl who are subscribed to his channel that do not play FFXIV at all but might had been thinking of trying this game because of the hype, but after seeing his video, will just give it a pass. This happened with Bless Online. Yes that game was a waste of time and money but a lot of ppl was planning on trying that game out but after watching his review we all just decided to not even try it. He's a trusted reviewer of MMO's with 466k subscribers. Not even Mr. Happy or Work to Game has that many subscribers.

His Video already did it's job. It's target audience were a select group of players that plays a certain MMO that will do anything to make money and keep its current playerbase.

I do not believe this reason is real, he just took it down so youtube algorithm wont hurt him too much. Pretty pathetic to pull out a old trick like this.

I'm 100% sure he took it down because it was tanking his youtube channel.

But I don't doubt he got death threats.... and nobody deserves those.. .

But that smug crap he pulls at the end of the video I can't seem to feel that sorry for him.
