    Suspicious activity?

    Was playing the game when I got kick out of the game and tried log back in I get message saying due suspicious activity my log in was suspended then after it made reset my password I had sit in que to get back in game someone care explain to me how playing game is suspicious activity ?

    This usually only happens when you try to log in from a different location. Does anyone else know you’re information?

    Yes, likely someone attempted to login from another location. Make sure you have 2-step verification enabled. Someone is likely making rounds.

    I am having the same issue. So far it happened 3 times and it seems to either be routing issues or that random disconnects now lead to that.

    Even made a topic about it, but that is unanswered so far: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...r-9005-or-9006

    Are you by any chance from Germany?

    Guess then it is not a country based issue.

    I just had this again. This time I at least remembered to note the error codes.

    It was an error 9001 which lead to a 5003.

    This is the third day in a row I have to change my game password because of random disconnects. Also this time it happened roughly 2 hours after my first login to the game. Going to write this down because it maybe helps to identify the issue.

    Another wee Update: I restarted the router to see if that helps somehow.

    Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums,

    Katro, the error you are describing is something called a " Log in Restriction". This restriction is caused by signing onto the SQUARE ENIX account is usually caused by any of the following:

    -Signing on from a different network
    -Signing in from a different device
    - Signing on after a long period of inactivity

    To get passed the log in restriction, please reset the password to the SQUARE ENIX account. To avoid further lock outs I would recommend getting a security token. For further assistance with this, you will need to contact the SQUARE ENIX Support Center as this is not a technical Issue. Please use the following to contact them:

    ICane, the issue you are experiencing could be caused to do congestion and many people trying to sign onto the servers at once. The Error 9001 you are receiving is a general connection error.
