    It'd be cool, but if its anything like the XI ones it'd probably be somewhere really far from me like California (and Japan) and they'd all get awesome exclusive items and I'd have to send radioactive jealousy vibes out to all the people that got those items.

    I went to Vana'fest in 2009 and got the Nomad Cap. Was lots of fun, well worth the flight to California from Indiana.

    But I assume nothing of this sort will happen at least until after 2.0 is launched and (hopefully) successful.

    Would be awesome, I heard they were quite extravagant from friends back in ffxi. Couldn't really afford travelling to Japan or American from the UK though, but if I had enough of a warning with a ffxiv fan fest I would seriously consider super saving to go. Super noodles, breakfast, lunch and dinner, Mon-Sun {do you need it?}.

    I think it would be so cool! I watched videos of the earlier fan fests and the later vanafest they looked awesome. I found an announcement for FFXI 2012 vanafest! A decade of FFXI! Wow can't wait to see XIV in a decade.

    Plus It means I would get to meet the people I play with in RL.
