    DNC and RDM have stupid high potencies for their basic skills that are technically accessed in early levels but have potencies geared for their level introductions. And everything else people are mentioning.

    Seems to me like most times when I select a dungeon for duty finder, I am synced with at least 1 other person working through the game for the first time (or at least as a new character) and two others who are being level synced through the dungeon roulette. We have always finished content super quick. I assumed it was because of the experienced people knowing exactly where to go and what to do, and therefore not wasting any time learning it for the first time. Actually some content has been annoying to go through because I am with people who just want to get through it, probably because they've done it a hundred times already...

    But every now and again I will get instanced with a whole group of newbs and only one or two veteran players. Recently, the Moogle King (which we wiped 2x on before getting the mechanics of the fight) and Leviathan (which also resulted in 3 wipes before figuring it out) caused me some grief, but also turned out to be the most enjoyable boss fights I've encountered thus far; most likely due to having to figure things out on my own.

    All that being said, I am thinking maybe the older content is easier because veteran players are really good at their roles and have run most dungeons several, if not dozens, of times. I can't really speak to the updates because I have not been playing this game consistently over the years.

    I've noticed this as well, and the reason is as others have stated. A big reason why the content is easier is because all the classes had their skills improved in some way, some more than others. Party DPS is higher, tanks have better passive mitigation, and healers don't need to be as focused to do well. It works for new content, however, old content has been trivialized as a result. I hope those clever people at Square find a way to maintain just some of the mechanics and challenges of older content without sacrificing the direction they're taking the game in now.

    I ran Antitower again a few days ago after almost 2 years of not running it and I was shook by how easy it is now. Everything dies by sneezing on them and most of the bosses barely hit the end of their first phase before they die. I remember when it was released. ]:

    Pretty sure by Dzmael Darkhold every job has an actual aoe move and potencies for most attacks have been increased. With no TP melee/tanks can spam their aoe moves all day long. Jobs like MNK get a huge benefit with keeping up twin snakes and getting into rockbreaker because of it as well. WHM has Holy, SCH Art of War, AST Gravity(with lightspeed as well), it's no secret that we're clearing through trash much quicker then old days where a WAR would have to wait to regen tp after spamming overpower.


    I'm glad because it's a reason to get more people to understand when to AOE, because you'll still enter content where they believe single target attacks when there are three or more make complete sense.

    I just started doing roulettes for lower level content (for tomestones), and was suprised at what a faceroll they all were. I thought all the lower level stuff was scaled for player / item level in this game so any dungeon would be as hard as the first time you ran it.
