Log in queue

So i play on Ragnarok EU.
Normally I can get a log in q of up to 30, which is understandable.
I try to log in now, 1221 in the q.

Now i get new xpac hype and bla bla, but this is unacceptable.
If its a server glitch, fair enough, bugs occur.
But if this really is congestion, then wtf is square doing seriously.

Must i pay to xfer to a less populated server?
Something of a joke if so.

It's odd how much people are complaining about long queues when the longest one I encountered was about ~750 literally right at the beginning of early access, and it only took me a few minutes to get in. Since then I've had queues short enough to just hit cancel and try again and get in.

On cerberus I've seen a queue of 1.700

Today I had a queue of 2,000. Been waiting almost an hour and a half to start playing.

But this doesn't beat the 30,000+ queue I had when Wildstar was launched. xD

When my FC and I were on Balmung, during the Stormblood early access we had to deal with login queues of 6,000+. Suffice to say, after the second day of this and the 9k disconnects that were rampant during the EA, we packed up everything we could and transferred off Balmung as quickly as we could.

On Goblin, the worst I've gotten for this Early Access is a 150+ queue.

Good to hear things evened out. During Stormblood's release it was just...unplayable.

I am not sure how EU servers are populated, but I would assume after the data center (DC) split, a mirror image as to what happened for the NA DC's happened with EU DC's. Everyone that got put on the "new" Data center transferred back or found a new/old server to go to with friends or more populated. This, plus all of the returning players for ShB would sky rocket population for a while. While the queue's are a minor annoyance, SE can't force people off of a server so it really isn't an issue they could fix without overhauling the game's servers. On the flip side, people are coming back and new people are playing the game, this could in turn allow for SE to upgrade their servers sometime in the future when the resources become available to them.

Saw it coming from a mile away, so I moved to Twintania a few weeks ago. Glad I did. Not a single queue since the beginning.

I can still remember being on Cerberus when Stormblood came out, it took hours to get in :c

I started at 1857 and I'm still not in. I even took a nap. It seems going faster than with the SB queue, but still...
