Liking MSQ so far

I'm not going to explain what I like about the MSQ so far (and I do have a theory) because of spoilers, but I just wanted to say that I like it, like all the voice acting so far. Despite the rest of the cons, I think I'll really enjoy MSQ. So, thanks team. /o/

Yeah I have to say that so far, the pacing of story and whats optional/not forced is very good. Feels like a solid story driven pace for once, with all the fluff being there but not shoved at us, love the level syncing quests too

I'm not really that deep yet but I've liked the pacing quite a bit so far, it feels really good. If it keeps it up then it'll most likely be my favorite.

When asked to check a Rhon's wears I checked him and he told me I couldn't eat him, then I ate all his worms, every last bit, and I'm loving this so far lol.

i've gotten to lvl 77 and without giving anything away i'll say the story so far has been outstanding, probably the best expansion they've done storywise.

I've felt constantly invested in this expansion's story, whereas there were lulls even in HW where I felt I like I could put things off a while because I wasn't too interested in what happens next.

I'm slightly concerned at what role The First will play outside of this expansion. I have a feeling we'll never see the people of The First again and this will all become some kind of sideshow. Or worse The First will show up as some kind of interdimensional army and the story will get hopelessly convoluted. But who knows, I've only just finished the first dungeon. As much as a mess Stormblood's story was, it was at least building onto the ongoing story against the Empire. Ishgard, Doma and Ala Mhigo were all nations developed for the on-going conflict of the Empire but it seemed The First exist completely outside this story.

The conflict against the empire is just one part of the story, and not the main part.

The main story is our conflict with the Ascians and against their efforts to create Calamities. The First is most definitely involved in that story.
