    RIP Healers

The changes that 5.0 bring to healers, kill most of their fun. Different from other jobs, healing didn’t have a “fixed rotation” and trying to do dmg between heals was what make this job so fun, you could always push your self to the limit.

Playing MSQ as a healer is really annoying, We lost the burst that we have with CS, so every time that you try to kill a mob took way more time and pacient.

Doing Fates is also a problem because, most of the time you just get the exp from the fate and not for mobs (in the long run make some differences and you have your chocobo challenge log to), and the fates that you need to collect stuff or kill a mob become a pain.

The fights force you to do a AoE heal usually 10 to 30 seconds after the fight start and do the fight loop. Also seems like you do no dmg at all.

AST fells terrible most of the time because of the cards system, a lot of times I get the same type of card 3-5 times in a row. Or the card doesn’t go to the sequence for no reason, this happened sometimes when you try to use right after the fight start.

I think we all need to just adjust (HA!) before we doom and gloom the new healing changes. I will concede that AST just feels, well, wrong at the moment but maybe when I'm capped I'll understand SE vision of AST. WHM feels pretty much the same thus far and SCH...well, you'd have an argument there lol.

That's part of the problem: how many people are going to grind through level 70, 71, 72... and all the levels up to 80, while having no fun playing the job relative to what they've been used to for months or years, on the off chance that they might have an "ah-hah!" moment after they finally reach 80 and compete their job quests to see the fully realized Squeen-o-vision?

I tried playing my AST for a while today, and it was kind of painful.

The notion that healers have a hard time to clear single player content really baffles me. So far, I decimated everything pretty quickly, it didn't feel much, if any, slower than before, and I didn't even have my chocobo out at times. They raised potencies across the board together with the skill removals. Is it fun to only have 2-3 buttons to press? Most definitely not. Do we deal so little damage that we have a hard time clearing anything? LOL, no.

And why have they given us a sleep spell as role action which is useless and never used?

I guess WHM needed something taken and given to the role actions, just to uphold the tradition, and Aero III didn't cut it; maybe they thought it too powerful. Seriously, that skill is so situational I don't even have it on my hotbars, and the only time I use it is when I need to capture, not kill, something... that's how garbage it is.

Honestly though whm is the best of the three right now in normal content. Scholar is definitely mana starved. Astro haven't really went hands on with but it felt alright when I was changing around hotbars. I enjoy how fast you can fire off cards.

AST looks like buff job not a healer, with a WHM will be probably the meta in the end game.

But fells bad, SCH was always meta because of their kit that was too good against the other 2 healers. In the AST case is because is a buff job not the kit all together. Sometimes the potency is kinda off.

Same here! Started expansion as AST and it feels incredible underwhelming.
