Level 77 Thancred Duty - Abitrary and frustrating

Square please, stop with these RP encounters. They aren't engaging in the slightest and it doesn't make you feel epic like the character should be. They need to seriously be revamped and shortened. The 77 MSQ encounter is absolutely the worst offender because its roughly 15-20 minutes long and nothing significant actually happens. All you do is press 1 until you get a prompt then press 1 some more. Failing or DCing makes them feel especially awful and the Zenos one at the end of Stormblood was almost the same way.

Sry if wrong place to post. Yes 72 yr old who has made it through this game til this stupid mqs block. I have gotten to the end, but I am clueless with the Gun controls when I am camouflaged. (I hate this one!) so simply, I am using PS4 controller so R1 R3 to disappear. Is it not the same to shoot??? I end up dyeing because I can’t get out of this state. Again wrong place sry. Just a super frustrated successful lev 80 BLM GRANDMA who refuses to give up!!! I hope there is someone who loves their Grandma! All my grandsons and family gamers are not to my level. Lol. Thx

I am an older gamer also. I can hit the camaflouge (fade in and fade out buttn) but once he comes back, no skills are highlighted, and the shining blade does nothing, and eventually I die. Please could someone explain, its very frustrating

You have to be right next to Ranjit to use the attack, which is really annoying later in the fight as he hops around a lot. I had to wait until he would start casting to try it.

Yea, you pretty much need to be standing right on top of them for the ability to light up (A bit over exaggerating). Once you are, it should give you the chance to hit him.

Was gonna say more about the fight afterwards, but I decided against it. If more people need help, I'll repost it. xD
