Questions about skill speed

The question is in the context of DRG, so I'm not sure if it applies to other melee DPS...


Before 5.0, my combos felt fluid. By that, I mean that the visual animation for each ability ended at roughly the same time as the cooldown.

For some reason, after launch, the cooldowns seem longer. I'm not used to the pause after the animation ends, and am sometimes pressing the buttons at the wrong times as a result and messing up my combos.

So, I got these questions:

-How much skill speed do I need for a fluid experience?

-Was skill speed nerfed/was there some other skill speed related change?
