The first linked video, I honestly saw nothing complex. Spamming Broil 2, miasma, use your quick cast heals in between rarely. I mean, that's not really complex... Unless I am missing something? Second one is just common sense in any MMO.

FFXIV just has the advantage that healers can do some damage compared to other MMO's, but I do feel they are not there to DPS. A healer is to be the healer, hence the title. They are fine to DPS, especially for harder content to push timers and make phases go faster, but their overall job to to replenish the health of others. Which was kinda funny, watching the first one, the healer could have stopped DPS quite a few times to toss some much needed heals out so the other healer wasn't covering for them.

Irks the life out of me when the group is low on hp from big attack, I am throwing out aoe heals busting rear to get the tanks up. Then look at my co-healer and what are they doing!!! Dpsing the boss who is about too give the group another good smack across the face. If a healer wants to dps great dps when every member of your party has plenty of life to survive!!
