I'd be fine with the SCH changes if there weren't dozens of little broken things about how it plays that baffle me.
-Aetherflow can only be cast while in combat, and once in combat /only/ after you attack. So pre-pull Excogs are now out of the question as is refreshing your stacks between pulls. So good luck if Aetherflow comes off cooldown while you're in a long corridor between fights. You need to wait until the next pull to even use it. Which wouldn't be so bad if...
-SCH now has serious MP issues, made worse by that Aetherflow change. Just letting us cast Aetherflow between pulls would mitigate this in dungeons instantly. Less so for Trials but eh, I'm more concerned about my MP in dungeons where tanks still aren't used to their own changes, let alone the healer based ones.
-We have no stack dump. Overhealing or recasting Aetherflow now /is/ our stack dump and it's as clunky and wasteful as it sounds. We desperately need a neutered Energy Drain to compensate. I don't care if it only restores MP and no longer does damage. We just need /something/.
-The Faerie AI got worse and noticeably so.
-Said Faerie also sometimes just randomly won't load in for dungeons or trials? Like I can't find any rhyme or reason to it, but while doing SB related dungeons to help a friend I had to resummon my Faerie /every single time/ we got into a dungeon - but sometimes in ShB content it doesn't happen? It's janky and needs fixing. It's also weird not to let us come with our Faerie out to start with but after a few days I could live with it if it was just /consistent/.
-Why so many flashing light gauges Square. What do you have against migraine sufferers? (Fixed by flinging my Aethergauge off to the side of the screen where it remains in time out now days later... Seriously pure saturated and pulsing green? Really? Of all the colors and affects?)
I'd also have a minor bone to pick with the fact that content feels artificially challenging due to the changes to tanks and a few other tweaks, but I haven't really minded it too much as I level. I wanted more challenge, I got it. Even if it's in a weird way. Only time will tell if it actually sticks past the initial 'RELEARN EVERYTHING' mess that is every expansion. I also don't care too much about the DPS component. Yeah I desperately want more complexity but I'd rather fight to get the small, annoying things fixed first before tackling the bigger issues.
