    NQ vs HQ

    WEAPONS
    I would like to open with saying there is no reason you should have a NQ weapon at rank50. aside from if it is NM made item. (the hq+2 best weapons are better then the Nm weapons) The HQ+1 weapons for melee classes are DIRT CHEAP and add +7att and +7acc over the NQ ones.
    I know for a fact that the +2crab bow adds +13att and +15acc over a NQ bow. So this should hold true for all melee weapons?

    EQP ALL SLOTS
    HQ eqp Does NOT add more stats like str, dex, agi ..etc.. over the NQ version. Also I do not think it adds acc, att, macc, matt..etc..
    I have some +1 and +2 melee eqp that I have not tested for exact numbers, but I think all eqp slots only add +defense and +evasion over NQ versions. Please correct me if im wrong.

    CRAFTING EQP AND TOOLS
    I will edit this post once the game comes back up and i compare my NQ tools with Hq tools.

    PLEASE post stats on eqp and weapons so maybe people can look them up and compare!
    ALSO lets do TOOLS and crafting eqp!

    My only comment to this, is that if they do tear up the current point allotment system, gear bonuses will have to change in order to accommodate players for building gearsets for skill/stat bonuses.

    I found this on xiv forums replying to one of my posts. Posted by NoMX
    Here is how HQ works:
    +1 adds 5% extra to each stat with a star next to it. This would be like your attack and acc on your bow.
    +2 adds 10% extra
    +3 adds 15% extra

    The game rounds up when there's a decimal, usually. Example below:

    NQ Crab bow:
    127 attack

    +1 Crab bow:
    127 attack x 1.05 = 133.35 attack, rounded up to 134. This is +7 attack

    +2 Crab bow:
    127 attack x 1.1 = 139.7 attack, rounded up to 140. This is +13 attack.
    No matter what kind of equipment it is, it has the same effect, be it a DoL tool, a DoH tool, armor, or a weapon. Any time there is 1, 2, or 3 stars next to a stat it is increased by 5%, 10%, or 15% respectively. This means a +3 needle would give your weaver 15% more craftsmanship bonus over what the needle says it gives, just like a +3 helmet would give +15% more defense to a DoW class.

    i need to confirm this when the servers come back up but it sounds correct.
