Yeah SCH got taken out behind the wood pile with old yeller and homogenized to death.I'm a Scholar and I feel they took away most of the power, we lost Miasma again along with many other skills, there's no Bane or Shadow Flare, I hate the condition imposed to the use of Aetherflow, I really feel the dev team just crippled us once again.
I hope they fix it soon because right now it's not fun being Scholar, it became so simple!...

Homogenized? No, that would imply that they were made in WHM's image, and you wouldn't have all these SCHs complaining about sucking at both healing output and damage output. They still have some of their support skills, too, something WHM lost most of.
Meh, I'm adjusting well to the new SCH myself. I like having a PBAOE I can spam while I keep the tank targetted for a quick Lustrate if needed.
Yes, it got easier, but I think it's premature to call us gutted at this point.
This is my highest level job and so far the paladin feels so much better imo

I love the skill changes for DRK. It’s so much faster and smoother. The AOE combos are insane. I love it.
I've only hopped on to check out my PLD so far, but even the skills removed from PLD made me scratch my head in confusion. It sounds like PLD got the hit the lightest with strange changes.
It feels/seems like they're removing the interaction between classes, making each one its own island. WoW did this several years ago and it's been hemorrhaging subs since. This is an Massive Multiplayer Online RPG, but the changes to the classes make it feel more like they're moving to a "Mostly Myself Online" RPG. That is a bad direction to move in. And yes, I know we've been able to solo effectively for ages, but the synergy classes had when grouped up is what made it shine. Seems that synergy is being chopped away.

On subject, but kinda off subject but I'm curious as to why BRDs can no longer shoot straight (Straight Shot) but have to have luck (Procs) in order to do it. Is the constant migraines the WoL get affecting it's aiming ability or am I reading waaay too much into it? Maybe it will make sense once I'm capped but I just wonder about the decision and direction the dev team chose to go in.
This would at least explain why we lost so many skills/spells in what feels like a random way.On subject, but kinda off subject but I'm curious as to why BRDs can no longer shoot straight (Straight Shot) but have to have luck (Procs) in order to do it. They actually addressed why they removed Straight Shot: apparently some players were finding it “too difficult” to upkeep the 30 second crit buff it gave us, and they wanted to “simplify” things for those players. I am not kidding—they actually said that’s why they did it during the PLL about the job changes. On subject, but kinda off subject but I'm curious as to why BRDs can no longer shoot straight (Straight Shot) but have to have luck (Procs) in order to do it. Wow, and I played bard in stormblood because it was one of the more simple classes :VThey actually addressed why they removed Straight Shot: apparently some players were finding it “too difficult” to upkeep the 30 second crit buff it gave us, and they wanted to “simplify” things for those players. I don't like how the classes have been made more simple,
and yet, after my experiences of this patch so far, maybe the playerbase needs it that simple. The playerbase is worse than I remember :/
There are still people who do actions after they are rezzed and die right after they raise because of it, instead of waiting a second for heals, and when there was an A rank that uses cleaves while rotating, and so many couldn't rotate with it.
