Most beneficial to groups: Support Dps or Tank?

Heya, so after a lot of playing around, I've solidified Dancer as my main dps choice as I'm wanting to be a more supportive type of player instead of one focused on maximizing personal dps. One thing I wanted to ask both here and the tank forums, in your own opinion, do you feel a tank or support dps would be most beneficial to groups in the long run? Just wondering on this so I can get an overall better idea and either stick to Dnc or go back and level up Drk to be a tank.

Tanks’re just support DPS ‘round ‘ere anyway, har.

The most beneficial’s whatever ya like more, ‘cause it’ll be what ya end up bein’ better at. Tanks’ll surely end up bein’ more in demand in general again, once the current crop o’ gunscrubs git done.

Hmm, well at the moment, I haven't played my Drk outside of fiddling with it on a dummy. I originally was starting out as Mch, but then gave dancer a serious try and ended up enjoying far more as well as just the idea of being a supporting character instead of someone that wants to hit the big dps numbers. I do at least notice I take far less damage as a Dancer than in the past with casters and I guess people are happy enough since I'm getting more comms than normal as a dps. I guess I should first try Drk out in dungeons and see how I far as a tank in Shb content.

If there is no tank, the group will need a tank. The group will manage without a dancer, can just get any other dps instead.

Tanks are in a way support dps.

Tanks are normally more demanded than dps (support or not) as fever people play them.

Play whatever you want and what you think is more fun, but if you want to be wanted; play a tank or healer.

Support DPS for sure, I'm not going to pirate speak for you or anything else. Play a tank if you want to be smacked in the face all the time, otherwise do a support dps, its what you want to do anyway
