    [Mac 64bit version]Display half crooked

    Encountered this issue when I logged in after Shadowbringers early access started with the new 64bit launcher for Mac.
    About half of the game screen is crooked, I tried to switch between fullscreen/window or lower my display settings but none of them worked.

    Please help ; _ ;

    System:
    MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)
    MacOS Mojave 10.14.5
    CPU: 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
    Graphics: Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

    This appears to be because you are using the Iris Pro. If you also have an AMD on your macbook you should use that.

    I'm having the same issue with the same GPU. Unfortunately I don't have the choice for another GPU.

    I made a separate post in the forum here already and haven't gotten any traction.

    I can confirm that if you still have access to the 32 bit client it'll work, but the performance is pretty rough (as it always was).

    That's unfortunate. I saw you have a 2014, mine is a 2015, expecting I'm probably gonna have to upgrade or stop playing soon.

    Before I installed the 64bit version I copied the whole game over to an external hard drive. It can run ok from there, but a little slower loading.

    Yes, I do have a 2014. Honestly, even after playing around a bit using the wonky 64bit client the performance is way better, I just wish I could interact with things on the right diagonal of my screen. I can't afford to upgrade. I only have this bc it is my work computer. I may just refund the 64bit client and buy a windows copy if that's what it takes, because this is unplayable.

    The Iris Pro is the only GPU I have now but I'm planning to buy a new one. I know little about hardwares so didn't notice that mine doesn't meet the minimum requirement... It will be able to solve for me if this is the reason of this issue.

    I'm playing with this wonky screen too xD Everything is okay besides this one issue, though I hope I could read all the text during cutscene. Perhaps gonna save some money and upgrade my GPU... it do need a upgrade anyway_(:з」∠)_

    Well strike 2 for me. I didn't realize there was such difference in mid 2015s. When I switched to the Iris I got the same problem.

    Update.

    In a reddit thread here a user mentioned that they spoke with someone on the SqEnix support team via live chat and that they are aware and working to fix the issue.

    Obviously there's no proof, so take that with a huge grain of salt, but I'm cautiously optimistic that this may get fixed.

    If anyone seeing this has this issue, make sure to submit a bug report so that the team knows how big the issue is. That way they know it's important!

    A few days ago a user posted an issue in the Japanese tech support forum. They had the exact same problem. A moderator responded with a Japanese-only link to a FFXIV support page that told them to try changing settings (going from fullscreen to windowed, etc). I tried those steps but they were ultimately unhelpful.

    2 days later, that post is deleted.

    What's going on FFXIV?
