    The only thing you show with it is that you apparently are unwilling/incapable of looking at the fact that the majority of DNC abilities are locked behind a 50% RNG-chance + you only have 1 ability on a 60sec CD which can unlock all those abilities without having to rely on RNG.

    Based on that you should already question the validity of DNC class design, as if you don't hit those RNG rolls you only have 2 single-target and 2 AoE abilities at your disposal.

    I initially apprehensive about DNC; but after playing it in a dungeon... OMG... this job is so MUCH FUN! Its simple but exciting. Fun and engaging. 50% doesn't sound like procs will happen that often but it's pretty often; when you couple that with having a dance partner that can share your strengths... well... the job shines! KUDOS in my book... this'll be one of my main jobs in the game from now on...along with BLM, SMN and AST.

    My only wish is that Standard Step (not the actual 1s GCD dance moves) was an oGCD, because it would flow much better to be woven between the rotational combo, even if that meant to slightly nerf the step damage to compensate for the faster response.

    This being said, I hope no nerfs are incoming for this job; it doesn't need it. I believe it's balanced appropriately since its DPS capability is so tied into its dancing... you really have to dance in order to not hurt you and your party's dps output.

    No. Most MCHs complained about the horrid way the job was prone to clipping during its Wildfire windows should one have higher latency or higher skill speed. This made the job feel clunky. They were not complaining about RNG, and it was not something on MCH’s wishlist of Please Fix This when it came to the job.

    Doesn’t matter where the servers are. Not everyone in NA lives in California (which is there the NA data centers are located), and not everyone who plays on an NA data center lives in the US either. MCH was so touchy with latency that it was a huge issue for any MCH that wanted to attempt to maximize their damage. And, as I said before, higher skill speeds were also an issue—see the massive amount of complaints MCHs had about Alphascape BiS where their Omega gun had skill speed, and they actually used Eureka gloves to avoid more skill speed on the job.

    With BRD at least, Refresh was key to their support role as it was used exclusively at the higher levels to regenerate their MP for more Foe Requiem casts—not primarily for healer MP. In double physical ranged comps, both BRD and MCH coordinated Refresh around Foe’s usage and burst windows. So I’d say it was more critical for BRD compared to MCH, even for a role skill.

    From what I have heard about the newer BRD, it feels very boring compared to its 4.x incarnation—any sort of snap decision making and complexity has been removed. I have heard that single-target feels fairly mindless, despite there being more AOE power with their new AOE Sidewinder. Their level 80 skill is also a “press this at full gauge and no sooner” gimmick that is extremely lackluster: just a one-and-done button and ignore it otherwise unless the boss is dying.

    I haven’t touched BRD yet, but I was already dissatisfied with the changes back when they were announced and the media tour footage/data came to light. I liked their support aspect, but it’s been removed now save for Minne and Troubadour. Now they’re more focused on raw damage, and that’s not the reason I ever played the job. I’ll have to level it to know for certain, but considering how well I loved 4.x’s BRD, it will take a bit to impress me with 5.0 BRD, I think.

    I’m level 76 currently on DNC, and I don’t have many issues getting procs outside of Flourish. Very rarely do I find myself just hitting 1-2-1-2 over and over again with no procs in sight so far. So I think the 50% proc rate is more than enough for it. At 76 you also get Esprit and Saber Dance, giving you even more RNG—but in a dungeon situation with your dance partner AOEing, you generate Esprit fairly quickly for Saber Dance. We don’t know what its proc rate is yet (PvP lists it at 20%, but we don’t know if this is true for PvE), but I find it to be fairly sufficient if you have a competent dance partner.

    While 50% may not seem like much, you have a 50% chance of landing heads when you flip a coin. Just because it's a 50% chance, doesn't mean you won't land heads 4 out of 5 times. It just means it's less probable, but still possible.
