Please allow ability queuing for AST's Play action (see video)

Dear devs,

Please add ability queuing for AST's Play action. Ability queuing is when you press the button before your previous action is finished in order to tell the game to execute the action as soon as it's able to. Ability queuing is active for all GCD and non-GCD actions in the game, as far as I can tell, except for Play.



Notice that even though I am mashing the Play button during Malefic's cast, it won't activate until the last try in the video, in which I intentionally waited for the entire cast bar to finish. This is in contrast to every other action in the game and it makes AST feel sluggish and stressful to play, especially in a hectic battle. This lack of queuing makes the reduced cast time for AST's damage spells (1.5s) less effective because I have to wait extra time for the cast bar to be completely over before I can Play the card, and it usually eats into the next GCD (this also applies to healing spells, which have 1.5s cast time as well).

Yep, cards behave exactly like infusions/potions/etc. now. Can't be buffered, and there's a short (~1s) delay after any cast finishes before they can be used (Try with say, Helios, and you'll see you can cast another Helios before you can play a card). For something we have to use three times a minute, it's infuriating.

Given that 'Play' is the only thing it affects, I'm guessing this is a bug and not a feature, how on earth it got through testing is beyond me.

Hopefully we don't have to suffer this for too long.

Agreed, I've just been testing this myself and am baffled why 'Play' doesn't queue. Why did they have to make it a separate button in the first place?
