I must be missing something because, other than having excessive Aetherflow stacks, I have very minimal complaints in regard to SCH, which is easily resolved by returning Energy Drain for both MP management and AF stack burner, but I wouldn't go so far as to say its unplayable.

I'm of the mind the AF dump should not have damage potency attached to it myself. But if it had to be a damage skill, I'd say make it shadow flare, just nerf the potency and put it on a 30 second recast. Either that or make like a "Recharge" where you just convert the stack to 250-500 MP.

This is the first time i wonder if i will reroll WHM ..... the healer i hate the most since FF14 release.

Square Enix/ffxiv screwed up healing so badly with this new expansion. They took away skills I found to be essential whether you are solo or with a party and made it a straight heal heal heal heal and do nothing else as your mana drains faster than it ever did before. Thanks so much for the lovely changes and for taking away the joy from playing these healing classes and eliminating Variety from my skill set. Fantastic job. Really. (sarcasm) P.S. I pre-ordered Shadowbringers Collectors for this? Change can be a good thing, but trashing what works just to overhaul for the sake of change, is a foolish move. FFXIV/Square could have added in new skills without rocking the boat and then tipping it over. Balancing classes on the developers end should never have come at this price for the player base.

They took away ASTs completely unique mechanics like extending buffs, and put generic heals on to them. It's actually pretty sad that boring and simple is what SE thinks a pure healer should be.

This is exactly how I feel right now. I'm leveling up SCH alongside a friend to help his queues, and I'm really not seeing any problems yet outside of excessive stacks.

Yup. Honestly, it's made helping my FC mates out while I slowly progress the story a lot easier. So many GNBs and DNCs, along with all the people enjoying DRG and BLM, that there's more room for healers to shine and take advantage of it lol. Almost none of my levels have been from MSQ completion.
