72 White Mage - Reporting In

I'm amazed that so many people have already level-capped! Are people sitting on bed-pans and being fed intravenously as to avoid leaving their PCs or PS4s?

Seriously though, I'm taking my time and enjoying the story and I also generally play in short sessions.

That said, I'm really enjoying White Mage thus far. DPS feels as strong as it ever has, and healing feels good too. From what I'm reading, the other two healers need the most adjustment work and bug fixes. I like playing those jobs, too, so they'll probably be fixed by the time I'm ready to try them.

I just finished my first "Role Quest" or whatever it's called. The drunken dwarf is my favorite person so far in this expansion. But did we lose individual job story quests as part of a consolidated role quest?

Anyway, I'm not a raider or anything like that, so I'll probably never have the reactions to Job changes that the progression-minded players will.

Well, I sensed that WHM is more like a safety net than ever. Comboing Cure II + Afflatus Solace or Afflatus Solace + Tetra is a 60K HP worth combo @ level 71 (ilvl 385). It's almost a bene.

Besides that, WHM feels almost the same. I felt the fault os Aero III (my muscle memory didn't got used yet) and I think that devs moved WHM too much to being a holy priest theme (i hated glare, it's dumb af). Nothing I cant't live with.

Whm is doing great. I put mine at 71 as a secondary to run dungeons with my S/O. As far as the other healers Sch and Astro are struggling a bit, but they aren't as bad as people are making them out to be I promise. The other healers have to really pay attention to their mana or they will run out is the issue. Plus poor sch has its Aetherflow ability locked if not in combat which really hurts honestly.

Dunno why my phone edited my comments must have missed it. Running with my significant other and that my whm is at 71 is what I meant. And the healers aren't as bad as people are saying they are.

It's pretty easy to level up fast when leveling dungeons are insta-queue. I main as WHM, but I decided to do the MSQ with RDM and level up WHM in dungeons at the same time to save me from the dd queue times. For WHM, there wasn't that much of a change other than moving the aoe dot to a higher level and changing around our lilies that we never cared about anyways. They did get rid of Protect and Cleric stance, but Protect was kind of useless and I never used cleric stance anyways. So, soloing through the MSQ isn't really that much different on WHM. I hear on other healing classes that it's boring now. Soloing with WHM has always been kinda boring but I guess the other classes weren't before?

The only dungeons that I've ran have been mid-ranged SB ones since everyone is now leveling up the new classes, but those have all felt the same. Grab a bunch of mobs and holy them down. It's a bit easier now with the added lily-based insta-heal. Bosses feel the same as well.

IKR? I think many of them are high school/college students out on summer break and have nothing else to do.

But as a White Mage main and someone who has always loved the job, I am loving the changes made and thrilled with how it is now.
I actually think they've made me a better healer.

Also loving the insta queues, well for as long as they last! LOL
