Squall used 2 hands, just as cloud used 2 hands. (when attacking, not just holding it around)for me its same size, you have a big zoom in picture too. And in final fantasy 8 the gunblade was not as big as dissidia game, also its 1 handed sword, biguer than that will be another 2h DRK weapon.
im very sure gunblade of squall supose to be smaler and lighter than clouds weapon, even so squall use his shoulder to balance the weight of weapon. Squall moves are also faster than clouds moves cause of this diference. You can see it too in ff14, GNB moves are faster than DRK.
Also, if making it 2handed makes it a DRK weapon, then by that logic, making it a 1hander makes it a PLD weapon.

PLD weapons its 1 handed too. Are diferrent swords, but still 1 handed.
most of attacks of gunblade it use like 1 handed, the movements are fast, it doesnt heavy like DRK. If squall its 2 handed, its have less weight than clouds or DRK
Also squall may use 2 hands for some blows but not everytime like a heavier weapon.

why its always about sizes...
No, do not make the weapon bigger. I love the smaller size.
Adjust size for hrothgar and roes they look extra small on them
I feel bad for whoever ordered the collection and got that sad tiny ass squall miniature

May be just me, but from I saw from the Collector's edition Revolver (Squall's Gunblade) on the Viera, it seemed...well..rather small compared to most of the other races, like midlanders and cat girls for example.
It just looks so out of place to me. <_<
If they made it optional sure, I personally like the current size. As in added weapons they were larger.

i do hope they add more GNB and DNC weapons for older primals and Raids give us more variety but right now extremely limited
there is 3 huge gunblades(dwarf,lvl75dungeon,ronkan) rest are average or explosive letter openers
