The post is at this link: https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...233685e76fa452

I have phoned technical support as well, told them that my monitor is locked to 120Mhz display and thanx to the cap it can't run in 11. I asked if there was any way to get it to run on my monitor in dx11 and i was told it was not possible until they roll back the fps limit and until then i will have to run it in dx9.

Only option i have is to run in dx9 put up with the poor graphics and the occasional (thankfully only twice since early access launch) crashes in dx9 mode, until they get this fixed. The irony is that i spent nearly two years saving up cash so i could get a top of the line gaming laptop that would run anything on max settings, and now i have to run it in a lower dx with poorer graphics simply because my machine's monitor is too high end to run ffxiv on the limited frame rate cap.

Caps lock does help. It makes letters bigger, which makes it stick out more compared to lowercase characters. There's the accepted notion that people typing in caps lock are angry, or are children, but that's not always the case. This person was trying to get attention, and the caps lock allowed me to easily spot the title when surrounded by many threads that use lowercase characters.
