Regarding Character Creation on Congested Worlds

Yeah, it stinks we cant create chars on aether right now, but thats mostly for launch stability. I expected absolute hellques, but even crashing every 15 minutes i didnt have any issues getting in. Just gotta be a little patient and wait for the opening rush to die down. Vent away tho

I am with you Joven in thinking that your initial post is the way it was (or should be) since like you said, we can only play one toon at a time per account. With the way it currently stands, it almost seems like their database cannot hold any more records/objects. From a technical standpoint, this seems kind of odd and I would love to read a definitive answer as to why what you originally posted is not true. Does their database have a finite amount of primary keys without room for expansion? This congested worlds problem should have been solved long before even early release as its a no-brainer that the majority of people are going to want to try out the new races.

This is my thinking too. If a person having too many alts causes server crowding then why did they offer us so many character slots? Maybe I'll just wait like Dhaid said and see if I can't create one once the initial sperging dies down.
