FFXIV DDOS (server down) Reward Concept

Bit sad many people are assuming the worst, I didn't make some big speech on players deserving compensation - in fact the reward required you to take a break. The whole point was to get players to stop stressing at the start screen and to just go take a break.


I'm fine with people thinking it'll cause more problems than help, but please stop assuming the worst about me and assuming I'm demanding SE refund me my 15 cents or whatever (not everyone has done so, but a few have and it's a bit disheartening). I'm aware it's not SE's fault and I don't hold anything against SE for people attacking them, and I don't think SE needs to bend over for rare abnormalities (DDOS being one that is not even being their fault). I was only trying to smooth an experience out by encouraging people to take a step away when the servers were under attack or some weird server crashing bug (and I can see many people think it would just end up making worse- so I'm totally fine that the concept dies too, which surely making it worse would be reason not to implement something lol).
