There's nothing for SE to fix and it has nothing to do with queues. It's a DDOS attack like at SB launch.

Oh that excuse again? They use it every time their servers mock up. Hard to still believe it. It's just server failure and what CAN be done is by replacing the old ones.

Hey I don't like that claim either, but this one seems legit. It's also affecting other services in that same geographic area. Unless SE's servers can also screw with Discord?

I have been playing since the servers came up and there has not been a hitch in anything. Not with the first dungeon, any of the FATES, no lag, nothing. So this is not SE and it is not because it is pre-release. This has all the hallmarks of DDoS

I let the opening movie play at the start screen and it just let me into the queue.

My Discord is just fine. Not a hitch nothing. That excuse has been made way to much by SE whenever something is up with servers crashing. I am no longer buying it. Boy who cried wolf.

Whether it was a DDoS attack or simply servers crashing due to a sudden influx of players, we cannot say for we do not know. Assuming what is happening will get us nowhere. If it is bothering you this much, get off the game and take a breather.

Queues went up because they got kicked out and trying to login again, its a ddos attack, simple. Happened before, not only FFXIV, but many other websites, services and so on. They connect hundreds of thousands of pc's around the world and point them all in a single location. Servers can't handle that amount of data, no matter how many servers they have.

Except for minor bumps, everything was smooth since the servers came up.
I was happy as a clam, getting closer and closer to level 74 Miner, then my stomach said "feed me"
and when I came back half an hour later....WHAM..Disconnected.
four attempts to reconnect all gave me error 6001.
