    GNB Lalafell run cycle animation too slow

    Hi,

    first I'd like to say thank you for Shadowbringers, I'm enjoying every bit of it so far. The early access launch has been the smoothest experience of any MMO launch I've ever been a part of. Great job!

    Gunbreaker feels great to play, but there's just one tiny thing that irks me:

    As a Lalafell GNB, when you have your weapon unsheathed, the run cycle animation seems too slow compared to the movement speed of my character. It feels like I'm sort of gliding on ice.

    With movement speed boosts like Peloton it looks perfect, and the sprint version is spot on as well.

    I hope this could be taken into consideration and tweaked in a future patch as the run cycle itself is very cool (with the gunblade on my shoulder) but it just looks a little jarring at the moment.

    I'm glad it's not just me that noticed this, it looks incredibly bad the longer you play. Your legs plant on the ground for too long with our short legs so you wind up sliding around instead of running; I really, really hope they address this. Like you said, it's as simple as speeding up the animation slightly to remove this ugly uncanny valley effect.

    This is a bit of a tangent, but Scholar's Art of War kind of bothers me for the same reason. It makes the character punch or plant his hand on the ground creating the AOE impact. But since it's an instant cast action, it looks REALLY odd when character's are doing this while running. It makes them look like they're "skating" over the ground while kneeling with a fist or hand to the ground.

    I have nothing against the animation itself, but only if it's used for an action with a cast time. In that case, it would be beautiful. But it just doesn't work with an instant cast action.

    It sucks too because I love the sprinting animation for a Lala GNB with the weapon out, but when it ends it shuffles back to someone playing curling with my character.

    Maybe we can all submit tickets for more dev visibility?

    It's a pretty obvious problem. It's bad enough that I didn't bother to play GNB after the first level.

    UPDATE: They fixed this issue as of patch 5.1! Rejoice! It finally looks normal and they even slightly changed the sprint animation to match the new run.
