Game will not load/Black Screen of Death

Had no problem updating today, but after the update, the game continually gets stuck on the window it pops up before going full screen. Screen stays black, no amount of time makes any progress, and it just stays there until I force close the app. Have attempted to uninstall/reinstall, reset system settings, and swap between DX9 and 11, and none of them have worked.

I was having absolutely no issues playing the game prior to the patch. Game ran flawlessly with no crashes at max settings, so I don't think it's a hardware issue.
