How were streamers determined for the Twitch Chocobo campaign?

I know that a sub-campaign to get a rare mount is great and all, but how was the list of streamers selected for the event? They are all good people that were, but so many others missed out on the opportunity, and there was barely any BIPOC representation.

For future events, would it be possible for the FFXIV community to come forward to suggest people for events like these to the community team? I appreciate the 'higher view accounts' will get priority for the most part, but there are a lot of talented people that get overlooked and could honestly do with getting the recognition that they deserve.

Realistically what's going to happen is that people will drop 4 subs to who ever is currently streaming and never watch them again. FFXIV streams are just zzz compared to real games like WoW

Probably. As someone who doesn't watch streams and has no interest in starting, if I really wanted the mount I'd likely just pick one of those channels at random, do the thing, and leave forever again.

WoW is still a game but only in the loosest of terms. It's more of a job or 2nd job for most players now, but still technically a game. lol The devs, or even the company as a whole, don't really care about fun anymore. Well, not the type of fun which made them successful to begin with anyway. This is only their...what, third attempt to make the game strictly "raid or die"? Part of me has to wonder if they are actively trying to kill the game slowly. It never ends well, and most companies would have fired those responsible after even the first screw up, but not Blizzard.

Id go for MTQ to i guess, but i wont as I have 0 interest in streaming even less of games, besides its an mean to only use larger ones that already got the viewers...

Not a fan that Tequillashots....Arthars or Moodymoomba was not on that list. They all actively play FF14 and really promote this game. AnnieFuschia is pretty much gone once 9.1 drops over in WoW land but she is nice and will play FF14 as a side game.

To be completely honest I feel like people will only head over to Either ZeplaHQ OR whoever’s most popular/recognizable in their language category and drop the subs in, without thought. That was kinda what I was gonna do (although I love ZeplaHQ, I really have no patience for streams.)
