    NPC cutscene voice issue

Before Shadowbring, I was able to view cutscene and hear the voices of the NPC's, but now they sound far away even though my sound settings are maxed out on voice

Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums,

How long have you been experiencing this? Does this issue happen when headphones are being used? What have you tried so far to alleviate the issue?

    Hope to see you online!

This has been going on since I downloaded shadowbringers.
I am currently using the Steelseries Arctis 7 wireless headset/mic
Currently I tried restarting my computer and when that didn’t solve it I uninstalled final fantasy and then reinstalled it, still that did not fix it

Note: before Shadowbringers, I have been using this headset/mic with the out problem and when I ran through MSQ content before, I could hear them crystal clear with no problem

    Thank you for the reply.

Does the audio issue happen when no headphones are plugged into the PC? Also could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

    Hope to see you online!

I tried that and yes the issue goes away if I "don't" use head phones. I then tried a pair of "cheep" ipod ear pods ((the ones you get with them)) and plugged them into the computer directly, it works that way as well, but I want to know why I can't use my Steelseries Arctis 7 wireless headset/mic.

When I go into the computers sound settings

The speakers (3-ATR USB mic) works as well as the one below it, just putting the ear pods into the computer directly.

The one I have circled in red, the Steelseries Arctis 7 Game and the one above it don't work and I would really like to know why.
Now the Steelseries Arctis 7 ((wireless)) headset has a device that plugs into the computer via USB, so idk what the problem is.

Now when I'm in 'Config' what am I looking for that you are requesting?

    Thank you for the reply.

It's a Final Fantasy XIV system report that I was asking for. Please click 'System Information' and then click on 'Display'. Could you also update the audio drivers?

    Hope to see you online!

After running a system update...ITS FIXED Don't know how, don't know why, but it works and that's all that matters in the end
