Reasoning for removal of TP, but not MP?

TP classes never had to 'calculate' their TP, that's why.

TP was a non factor unless you were spamming AoE's, then it was a arbitrary "stop spamming AoEs" barrier.

I do agree, but with that reasoning there's no reason to not also remove MP, as it too is a "stop spamming AoE" barrier in parts.
