60hz monitor here and I have game limited to 60fps. I am able to load the game. my issue occurs randomly and varies between a DX11 error pop-up or a fault logged in event viewer. I never experienced these issues prior to shadowbringers. I do not experience these issues in other games.

Yeah I have no options to change my laptops' 120hz (I have intel controlling my display rather than my NVIDA - by no choice of my own, though I have the NVIDA control panel, I can't change anything on it but 3D settings). I also tried to download directx 9 but my laptop wouldn't let me, it's stuck at directx12.

I heard there was an emergency maintenance last night, but it fixed nothing for me. I'm still getting the errors, so no ff14 for me till SE fixes/changes something.

    Here are my laptop's specs:

    Temporary solution

I already posted this short guide on reddit but I finally could use my game character as main and I would like to share it with ppl who doesn't browse reddit.

    Intro:
After realese of SHB I had the same issue with running game with DX11 ON getting an error: https://imgur.com/a/46kFSiB
Turning off DX11 allowed me to start a game however it was looking terrible.
I read a solution on this forums that I should make a custom resolution with lower refresh rate.
Unfortunatly my laptop (MSI GE73 Raider RGB 8RF) has fixed refresh rate 120hz! https://imgur.com/a/FWi9bPE
For all the ppl with the same problem as my I present you how to add custom refresh rate if your laptop display doesn't allow it by standard.

    Solution:
    1. Download Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) https://www.monitortests.com/forum/T...on-Utility-CRU
    2. Run CRU.exe
    3. Choose your active monitor and click Add... in Detailed resolutions section
    https://imgur.com/a/wnwl9PA
    4. Set Timing to Automatic - LCD standard and choose desired refresh rate (for me it's 60hz) and click OK
    https://imgur.com/a/ymrloUp
    5. Click arrow up to set your new refresh rate above the old one
    https://imgur.com/a/joscd3K
    6. In the end it should look like this
    https://imgur.com/a/83P4R9C
    7. Click OK and reboot your laptop
    8. Set the refresh rate:
Windows 10: right-click on the desktop > Display settings > Advanced display settings > Display adapter properties > Monitor tab
Windows Vista/7/8/8.1: right-click on the desktop > Screen resolution > Advanced settings > Monitor tab
    https://imgur.com/a/D6e0UH2

    Additional info:
After SE finally patch this issue you can delete all the custom resolutions added in program by running reset-all.exe

    Disclaimer:
I'm not an expert or anything just wanted to share solution that worked for me with such a great community.

This is just wrong. GTX1060 with 75hz monitor.
I get DC after 15 minutes of playing and I have to wait enormous queue again and again.
This is first time I get so disappointed by SE.

This is first time I get so disappointed by SE.
Don't worry, they're reverting the change.

I took the time to comb through my registry and removed every mention of FFXIV that it would let me after uninstalling and deleting all related files, but it didn't work, unfortunately.

I thought they rolled back, but when I open the launcher and go to options and turn direct X 11 back on I get the same error again and it closes launcher. I then had to open launcher go to options on the bottom and turn off the Direct x 11 option to get game to load.

    Edit: Gtx 2080 144hz

They have not rolled back yet. They couldn't fit it into the emergency maintenance. They're going to roll back ASAP though.
