Most beneficial to groups: Tank or Support Dps?

Heya, so for this expansion I've ditched trying to focus on maximizing personal dps and instead be a more of a supporting player and so I've been leveling dancer. I've also have been tempted to go back to my old idea of being a Drk tank for ShB. One thing I wanted to ask both here and the dps forums, in your own opinion, do you feel a tank or support dps would be most beneficial to groups in the long run? Just wondering on this so I can get an overall better idea and either stick to Dnc or go back and level up Drk to be a tank.

Are different but DNC have much much more support that DRK but if you wanna level a tank bcs diversity and have more options I recommend you pick PLD, WAR or GNB since they utility covers much more fields that pure mitigation like healing (clemency, nascent, aurora) or redirect the damage to you (cover) on top of his mitigation.

Apart of that keep doing you dps too.

Well the reason I picked Drk is cause I already have it at 70 compared to the others and have so far been able to fit all it's skills comfortably onto a controller. I'm having a harder time getting Pld and Gnb skills bound in a way that would feel comfortable on controller and I just do not want to do war as I really really do not like axes (don't like lances too). For me it's always been swords for melee and whatever the interesting/unique weapon for ranged.

DRK only have dark missionary and TBN with reprisal as a role skill, if you want to fully support you party DNC offer much more if you don't wanna pick the other tanks, DRK doesn't have much and is very tied to a specific moments like most tank support skills, DNC is 100% all day.
