Character presets

Hello everyone, i've formatted my pc and because of my little experience with how data is backed up in FF14 (thought they would be saved with the online backup) i lost my character presets i had (the one you use during a new character creation) for my chars + retainers.
Is it possible to save my current character data into a preset, so i can use it to create another character in the future?

Unfortunately there is no way to save the character data into a preset. The character data is saved to the PC not the server.

I thought you can do that on the character select screen when logging in? Right-click the character name and I think you get the option to save their data.

For retainers, you could get those by using a Retainer Fantasia and going into edit mode with them. It'll prompt you if you want to save the character appearance when you finalise it. Then if you cancel the retainer update process, you can do it again with a different retainer and save that appearance too.

The wording was a little vague. You can save the character appearance data as a preset, but there is no way to save it once it is removed unfortunately.
