So Blitzball in 6.0 or sooo...?

It's been a long time since they mentioned trying to bring the FFX mini-game to FFXIV, but what happened to it? I reading a post and mentioned FFX with the infamous laughing scene and it struck a memory about FFXIV I recalled involving Blitzball.

I haven't heard of them talking about it since, not even with Shadowbringers coming out so soon. So did they forget or decided to drop it altogether? I get it that they're trying to keep and improve the battle system of the game and make QoL changes.

Though I have been looking forward to Blitzball in FFXIV. Want to see how they're implement it into the MMO.

So no words or should we just forget it ever going to happen like the Egi Glamours?

Last I heard the devs were undecided between making it a team management style mini game, or a player control mini game with their character.


Personally, I'd rather play a game of Blitz ball with my character than to manage a team.

If they do add Blitzball, it would definitely be a sub-section of the Gold Saucer, which means it would probably be part of the X.X5 type updates where they add something fun that doesn't necessarily advance gear or story progression.
