ugh shit like this thread is so disheartening. you guys are totally failing to see the bigger picture.
/ThreadNo one is buying anyone's high horse standards for 'preserving the innocence of the community' bs shpleel. Us or anyone posting videos right after immediate kills on new content obviously doesn't affect you guys, being that you're on of the contending top tier raiding linkshells.
White knighting for the the ones in the community who actually can't help themselves but look at a spoiler thread (and then ruin it for themselves) is your agenda - and it's poorly obvious. Trying to draw that crowd to your valiant cause does not make you more popular so it's OK.
Secondly any e-sport streaming is apparently too vain for you folk. Organized sports on television too I'd suppose. GOD EVERYONE IS JUST SO VAIN FOR WANTING TO BE SEEN DOING WHAT THEY DO BEST QQ.
and on that note I'm finished being drawn into another one of these conversations with another linkshell who isn't even 'on the map'. Nor will be. Just giving handy advice, friends.
Be my gay lover please.
Since this thread has been very entertaining to read, I am interested what your vision of the "bigger picture" is. Please, enlighten me to your ideas. I am not being sarcastic or rude, I am serious. Because all I'm hearing how to get to that "bigger picture" and not what the "bigger picture" entitles. If you fully and honestly explain your mentality rather than degrading people and telling them they are wrong, I would say your success rate would increase maybe 50%.
For I, only having an hour or so to play during the weekdays, would rather get information about how to do the instance/fights from friends/internet if I was dead set on completing everything in the game as fast as possible. Of course you understand the reasoning behind this, right? No time to play around, would rather get things done than mess up, ect.
However if I was not so busy, of course I would rather play around and learn new ways of doing the instance/fights. Though, why would some post on some forums mess me up if I had already talked to my team about trying out new things? I would not even have known about this post if my friend didn't tell me that there was some entertaining post on here that would make me giggle.
My way of thinking is that if you withhold information that someone else could use, you are not empowering the person to try out things they have the power to do. If you think about it, if someone didn't have time to figure things out because of their own problems, they would most likely think that they "couldn't do it" or "it would be a waste of time if I get it wrong". Yes people do think that way, surprisingly. So for those who think that way, getting more information on how to achieve their goals gives them more motivation, inspiration, and excitement to try it out at that time.
This is my vision of the "bigger picture". What about yours?
Honestly, who cares. More than half the people who play this game won't beat Chimera, because they're bad and can't even take shit that's force feed to them.
The reality is: Dark light gear seems to be a huge time sink, and only the dedicated, or extremely luck will be running around in full sets.
